I do not want to work on a file from a month ago.To share an excel file on your screen, make sure its open on your computer. For one thing, it opens the last file. And every time I come back it is a clumsy mess with some annoying distraction. So I prob open this thing once a month. If someone is opening an Excel file ion an iPad it might just be an emergency, and your on the go. IPad is an on-the-go device mostly.
